Christmas was around the corner, and with the Paton siblings home, there was bound to be chaos around the house. As it was, Frankie and Hady now had some relief as the siblings had planned to take their chaotic energy outdoors. In the snow. The very cold, wet snow.

Her siblings were slow, Nova decided as she stared up at the clouds. They did promise to join her out here in the snow yet she was the first one out here making snow angels. Still, the oldest Paton child didn’t mind. She could enjoy the peace. She could reflect on the fact that soon she’d be graduating from Hogwarts and off to University. She could mentally double check that she’d gotten all the presents wrapped.

Hmmm.

There was so much Nova could think about that didn’t involve her worrying if Logan would fart on her or if Bryony would spill something on her. The only sibling who seemed to behave {other than herself, of course}was Melody. In that moment, Nova never appreciated Melody more.
