~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Daniel’s preparation for duels, no matter how small he might have considered it, certainly came into play. Dhruv could always tell when a student had a little extra experience with duels since the students tended to carry themselves differently. One example is the level of confidence. They thought that Daniel displayed a good amount of it.
But the level of thinking by removing the Shield Charm too early? That disappointed Dhruv. Perhaps Daniel would use this as a learning opportunity in picking up on his mistake. But just in case he did not, Dhruv would point this out to him after the duel solely for educational purposes.
With a pop!, their head turned was encased in a proper bright orange pumpkin shell. Oh, lovely spellwork, Daniel! It was just a pity that the spell didn’t actually turn one’s head into the vegetable since Dhruv was always certain this would have prevented the victim from thinking clearly. As it was their head was still attached to their neck so with another pop! the pumpkin shell was vanished.
It appeared that The Confundus Charm had worked well. “It’s okay, Mr. Yoon,’’ Dhruv replied in an assuring tone that suggested that Daniel indeed had nothing to worry about. “Why don’t you hand over your wand for the time being until you can think clearly? We certainly do not want you to cause any accidents, do we?” Dhruv hadn’t been Sorted into Slytherin for no reason as a teenager; their mind was usually sharp and calculating.
Was Daniel out of it so much that he'd readily give up his wand? Or would Dhruv have to use another tactic? |
