Yoon Minjae was born on February 16, 2086, into one of South Korea's most influential families. His family was well-known for owning large corporations and performing charitable work across the country. He grew up in an expensive mansion and was primarily raised by the mansion's staff members because his parents were constantly at work. Minjae had always resented the fact that people worked for him, which was why he always made an effort to talk to the employees, and over the years the soon-to-be Hufflepuff had formed a strong bond with his personal chauffeur.

At the age of seven, Minjae was very disappointed to find out that he was going to get a little brother. He had been excited to get a sibling but he had wished for a little sister. However, when Daniel was born, Minjae never left his side and made sure to dote on him every single moment of the day and even snuck out of bed at midnight to sleep in his brother’s crib.

Minjae began to demonstrate his first magical abilities when he was nine years old. His parents initially did not believe him. Small items like car keys and wallets were frequently misplaced, and it had nothing to do with magic. One evening during dinner, Minjae accidentally vanished a glass of water in front of his parent's eyes. They naturally panicked. His mother was adamant about calling an exorcist, but his father assured her by telling her to be reasonable and that there had to be a logical explanation for what had occurred.

The family doctor was called in and Minjae was examined for any illnesses. Despite his repeated assurances that he was fine, his overprotective parents refused to listen, and before he knew it, he was on a plane to England to be diagnosed at a prestigious hospital as his 'symptoms' worsened.

While in England, the family stayed in their 'vacation house' (which was really just another manor but it was slightly smaller so they called it that) but even the most knowledgeable doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. They made the decision to remain in Windsor for as long as it took to cure their son. They had flown over the original staff from their mansion in South Korea, and those who refused to leave the country were offered new and well-paying jobs. His parents requested a transfer so that they could continue working at a different location.

On his tenth birthday, Minjae was visited by a professor from a place called 'Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry,' who brought him his acceptance letter. Minjae was excited to be studying magic after his strange abilities that no muggle doctor could explain for a long time were explained in a single evening. His parents were less than thrilled. Because they were both muggles, they were skeptical of the entire education. It took more than one magical demonstration and a trip to Diagon Alley for them to realize that the school was real. After careful consideration and a lot of begging on Minjae’s part, they reluctantly agreed to let him go.

Minjae was sorted into Hufflepuff House despite the Sorting Hat's suggestion that he be placed in Gryffindor. The eleven-year-old quickly discovered that he excelled at Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts while despising Herbology and Transfiguration. Minjae was well-liked by both students and Professors at Hogwarts. He was polite and hardworking, and while he appeared to be a bit of a rich snob at first, that quickly faded after he spent time with his classmates. However, it wasn't until Minjae was in his fifth year that he made a true friend.

A transfer student from Ilvermorny named Noah Nam piqued his interest, and the two began to hang out over the next few years, and they remained friends to this day. Minjae had an amazing experience at Hogwarts. He wasn't a big fan of doing his homework and may or may not have skipped classes on more than one occasion, but he still liked school. He went to classes, House parties, and even had his first date with Aboli Song in his sixth year, which he was terrified of. His life was perfect until his final year began.

During his last year, Minjae, together with the rest of the other Muggleborns, were subjected to both mental and physical abuse throughout the year. His real torment began when he was imprisoned by the Neo Alliance's leader, 'Headmaster' Lucien Rosier, for defying a member of the Inquisitorial Squad (Nemesis Upstead). The prison itself was a small pocket mirror, and the Hufflepuff experienced nothingness within that dimension. He still couldn't describe it accurately to this day. He was released from solitary confinement two months later, only to find himself in the middle of a war zone.

Minjae had survived the war by chance, and he was admitted to St. Mungo's Hospital for two weeks. When he was released, his parents took him home, where he continued to receive PTSD treatment. A few months later, his friends Noah and Aboli decided to take him on a world trip, knowing that it would be beneficial to him. Over the next two years, his nightly terrors gradually faded, and with the help of a good therapist, he slowly returned to daily life. Though he wasn't ready to work and didn't want to go to university either, he had cracked open his old school books so that he could take his NEWT exams at the Ministry of Magic.

Minjae spends the majority of his time in his room gaming because he had no job and no education. He became the leader of a MMORPG guild and occasionally went outside to play at the arcade with his Housemate Serena Moon, for whom he gradually developed feelings for and eventually began dating. Minjae decided to start working as a barista in Espresso Patronum in 2107. The pay was lower than he could have gotten if he had taken over his father's business, but he was content with it. The money he earned, along with the majority of his trust fund, was donated to Little Lives. In 2112 he (or rather his upset father) decided it was time to start working for a larger company, which led him to the Ministry of Magic. He applied and was hired as the Department of Ecological Regulation and Protection's newest Spirit Relocation officer.
