One thing that could be appreciated about Professor DeVries, he certainly did not make them wait long to get to the point of the lesson. Not that she minded the guessing game that some Professor's had them play, using deductive reasoning and logic and all those things to surmise what was the topic of discussion BUT... she wasn't great at those. So the straight and simple to the point 'this is it' was something the Gryffindor appreciated. Particularly when she was SO curious about what the giant prickly tree was.

As for what she knew, nothing but that wasn't going to stop her from making assumptions. Raising her hand, Vera waited to be called on.
