A fun way to break the news to the family…
Suresh’s brain took off with his wife’s words. “A dinner! We could brainstorm a way to bring up the topic or hint at it and see how long it takes someone to figure the news out,” he replied, quite enthusiastic about the idea already. This was translated into his embrace with Advi when he gave her a careful squish. “But wait. Would that be too much on you even if I help?” He gave her a cautious but questioning look. The last thing this man wanted to do was to overwork the wife. “It doesn’t have to be a huge dinner. Just our parents, maybe my brothers and their families. Among that group of them, our news is bound to spread quickly to the rest of the family.”
Suresh was thinking along the same wavelength as Advika. "Lots of tears." Knowing his own mother… well, she and his mother-in-law would probably end up hugging each other while having a tear fest. The fathers would get all misty eyed and try not to be too over emotional. “That’s a great idea! I’ll do exactly that.” Already Sur was looking forward to the project that awaited them.
