Dot didn’t really have any pets of her own, not really. She had an owl that she shared with her sister, but that wasn’t one of her own. So she often found herself sneaking off to visit the other students pets and watch them, sometimes bringing them snacks if they allowed her to, and obviously letting them know if they were sick. Sick pets were obviously a sad state of affairs – seeing her roommate in the reptile room with Sass wasn’t at all shocking.

”she looks so cozy there,” she smiled softly as she leaned against the python statue her nose crinkling happily. It was nice to see Vera happy. A happy Vera made her happy.
