Bubbly, bright and easily excitable, Aurora takes life one bold step at a time. With a flair for the theatrical and the likelihood to break out into song (even if she isn’t the best singer in the world), this girl loves to be around others. But with this outgoing personality comes its weaknesses. Aurora can be particularly sensitive to criticism and will typical avoid or ignore any conflict. Despite appearing to be a ditsy blonde, Aurora is actually quite intelligent and loves to learn however also gets bored quite easily.

Aurora is the youngest daughter of former Hogwarts students Layla and Bambi (nee Fleming) Ackerly. Personality wise, she resembles her Mum Bambi much more however loves them both equally. She had a very happy childhood in the family home mostly thanks to her kind and caring Mum Bambi and her very chilled (although to the onlooker she always looks grumpy) Ma Layla. There is a 5 year age gap between her and her older sister Ariadne however the girls are very close and Aurora looks up to her big sister massively. Her Mum Bambi was a former model and Ministry Worker, her Ma Layla used to work in the Games and Sports Division in the Ministry but now works independently as a personal fitness trainer.

{The History}

Aurora attended a muggle Primary School before going to Hogwarts. Her magical skills didn’t start showing until she was 10 years old leaving her a little concerned that she might not be magical at all. Although given the choice of going to Beauxbatons where her sister was already attending, Aurora wanted to be exactly like her mums and chose Hogwarts instead. Her childhood was altogether pretty normal and uneventful which was a relief to her parents. The family often spent time holidaying in Greece when they could.

SPOILER!!: First Year Aurora was thrilled to finally be attending school. She spent the train journey sharing a carriage with her sister and was in awe of the castle as it loomed into view. She was second to be sorted thanks to her name being so high alphabetically after Ariadne. It didn’t take her long to be sorted into Ravenclaw as she begged the sorting hat to place her where her mothers had been sorted even if there was a house better suited to her personality. She made several friends including fellow first years Brandon & Everleigh, giggled about getting stuck in tire swings with Vera and had kitty cuddles with Kanga and her human Keighley. Other key events included being the target of a tiny gnome’s attack whilst helping Professor Hernandez, teaching Brandon how to braid hair & attempting to help her sister study for her OWL’s. During the summer, Aurora visited Greece with her family as was tradition. She was also lucky enough to visit her friend Everleigh’s house to ride horses and go for picnics.
