 Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
Paige seemed to blend in with all the little first years that were getting sorted. Certainly there were some taller students among them as well probably transfers like there that were getting sorted too. She hoped she would not be mistaken for a first year as she was most certainly NOT. She stood there and balanced on her heels and tippy-toes waiting for her name to be called. She watched that shy boy she shared a compartment with get sorted into Ravenclaw and nearly fall off his seat. It would be fun to watch him throughout the year. He was hilarious.
"Paige Hall."
"Oh goodie! My Turn!" she yipped as she was on the back of her heels tilting forward and launching herself from the tips of her toes to the stool to have go at the Hat as her name was called.
She sat down and grasped the front seat of the stool with her two hands as the hat was lowered over her crown.
"Oh...hmmm an older student come to learn at Hogwarts now." The hat paused for a moment. Paige sat in a silent but excited anticipation of what else the Hat would have to say. "You are quite the mixed bag if I must say. You have a deep love for your family with an adventurous soul." This next pause was fast. Paige had assumed that the next words out of the hat's mouth would be her house. "I see you seek many things of value with creative means to gain and possess them."
"BETTER BE...HUFFLEPUFF!"
"That's the Yellow one!" she shouted in glee her own yelling drowned out by the cheering of the Hufflepufff table that was as Gold as a Galleon!!
