It had been a while since Ruby Broadmoor had visited Diagon Alley. It wasn’t that the brunette didn’t enjoy perusing the shop windows and investigating the latest trends in the Wizarding world, it was more a lack of free time to be able to do so. Diagon had always held a special place in her heart coming from a multi-generational family who had bringing the thirty-four year old to the street practically since she was born. It was where she had bought all her school supplies before attending Hogwarts, where she had met with friends old and new for ice creams in the summer and when her younger siblings and dear cousins were old enough where she had been tasked with the responsibility of keeping the unruly Broadmoors and Ackerly’s in check. The street had remained mostly unchanged since her childhood days and for that reason it still held important memories. It was a shame that she didn’t have an excuse to visit anymore now that her brothers brewed her potions and she hadn’t sat on a broom for years.

Having been in the area that morning and with an hour or two to spare before she had dinner plans with her sister, the former Ravenclaw headed through the Leaky Cauldron entrance and out into the street. The street was quiet now that the children had gone back to school, not that Ruby would’ve minded had it been full of the beaming faces of excited kids eager to get back into education for she was as maternal as her mother Trixie was and would have happily gone back to school herself if she could. Sadly she had yet to have had children of her own however and despite sharing a beautiful home in Chelsea with Tabitha, it did feel a little empty.

She headed straight towards her favourite shop Flourish and Blotts in the hope that she would be able to pick up a new novel to read for a couple of hours perched on a bench somewhere. You could take the girl out of Ravenclaw but it was obvious that you could never take the Ravenclaw out of the girl. To her disappointment she had realised she had left her purse at St Mungos where she had picked up the morning shift. The Mediwitch quickly turned on her heels and walked in the direction of the fountain to perch for a short while and people watch hoping that perhaps Tabby might be early too.
