If anything, it would be easier to convince them with how long she had known Mackenzie.

Kai had to agree. Not being able to eat was absolutely dreadful. ” Oh? I think I saw one of your brother’s games? Doesn’t he play for the Quafflepunchers? I think it was probably one against Pride of Portree? My family usually makes a point to go to all of their games because Uncle Kirk is the keeper” She often spent most of the games being pestered by her cousin Islay’s little children.

The soon-to-be Hufflepuff was almost sad that she had finished her chips. ” And if you think of it, boarding school and summer camps aren’t too far off from one another? You’d just have proper adults running it,” she shrugged as she tossed the paper bucket into the bin. ” I’ll tell them exactly that and that I’ll have better OWL and NEWT scores if I get proper training,” She knew that would help with her mum at least. ” Really?” For a moment, her hazel eyes were wide and like an overexcited puppy, all love, admiration, and friendship. ” You really are the best, and if I need to, I’ll send you a bat signal” He really was the best.

Knowing Kai since they were in Primary, Mackenzie sort of knew what she was feeling at the moment. He shook his head, "Thank me later. You have to get to Hogwarts first." he replied, mirroring her smile.

Mackenzie nodded, throwing away the used napkin in the bin behind him. "The one and only Noah Mordaunt, yes," he said with a hint of pride. Being the only other male sibling, Mackenzie felt drawn to his older brother. And while Noah's ways aren't exactly... exemplary, Mackenzie has always looked up to him for inspiration. It's from him he's learned to loosen up a bit and give people a chance. "He's now promoted to the team's Seeker. He wasn't so keen about the change though," Mackenzie shrugged, not fully understanding why. To be honest, he couldn't care any less about Quidditch. As long as Noah stayed intact after a game, Mackenzie was all good.

Now those are good points too, and if those weren't enough to convince Kai's parents, "Yes, give me the bat signal and I'll let you have my mum. She'd be more than happy to help, I promise." the imagery of his mum talking and waving her arms about explaining things to Mr and Mrs Yarborough caused Mackenzie to smile. He knew she'd get the job done in no time... probably just so they could finally shut her up or something.
