The entire family was also newly returned from the Maquis, the little encampment his father had found in his journeys before his working days, and they were just starting to settle in.

"I need two butterbeers!" Armand proclaimed loudly to the cart owner.

"One," Slade said. "You get one." Heaven help him, the boys would be the death of him.

"And I need a butterbeer too!" Damien followed up.
Two identical twin girls stood a little ways away from the butterbeer cart, holding their mother’s hands. The one on the right, Blakeney, looked around, and her eyes lit up as she spied the cart. “Mum, can we get a butterbeer?” she asked, already pulling on her mother’s hand.

As she joined the line, she noticed the two boys and their dad ahead of her. Ooh, were they twins too? “Hello,” she greeted them with a friendly smile. “Great day for a butterbeer, isn’t it?”

The twin on the mother’s left side, Sydney, was much less enthusiastic about butterbeer but followed her mother and sister nonetheless. Truth be told, Sydney would much rather have a book or a magical artifact than a butterbeer. Although she didn’t care about the treat itself, she was mildly interested in the location. She’d read that a butterbeer cart in Diagon Alley was attacked in the Third Wizarding War. Was this the spot where it happened?

Of course Blakeney would try to strike up a conversation with strangers! Sydney simply offered the man and two boys each a polite nod in greeting, preferring to quietly observe for now.
