She examined the evidence, plucking a piece of plastic wrap from her cousin's skirt and holding it close to her face for a better look. It looked.....see-through. Waterproof, maybe, which she would guess was important for protecting books made of paper.

Lally sighed. Her most recent stop with her parents had been to buy the most boring of all their supplies: quills and ink and parchment. It was the sort of errand she hadn't really been needed for. "The...the... that one," she said, pointing back toward Scribbulus Writing Implements. "I don't recommend it." Hopefully her aunt and uncle could spare Tam and Andy the trip. Black ink, standard quills, there hadn't been any choosing to do, and she had complained the whole time. Her only hope was that she'd complained enough to get out of cauldron shopping.

"Did you get your wand yet?"
