To Trixie, family was the most important thing in the world. Some of her dearest friends she considered much more like family and it was for this reason that she would never get tired of hearing how others family were doing. Her own children had grown up alongside Vashti’s and she was sure (perhaps twins aside whose social circles were considerably smaller) that her children considered themselves close to Vashti’s. “Tabitha and Ruby only live a short distance away.” The girls shared a beautiful apartment in Chelsea which thanks to Trixie’s wealthy upbringing, they were able to afford easily.
She listened intently as the former Ravenclaw listed off what her children had been up to, only a tiny bit jealous that her own children had yet to give her grandchildren. Ruby she could understand as she was far more career focused but Tabitha, who although was carefree and fun, had always seemed the more maternal type. Perhaps it was because she was the oldest and the bossiest amongst her siblings but in Trixie’s opinion she would make a fantastic mother. Whether Freddie was ready for that was another matter, that man was extremely protective of his daughters. “Isn’t it scary how quickly time has progressed?” she asked. “At least we have easy transportation methods for visiting them abroad” she responded to Vashti talking about how her grandchildren were growing up too fast with living overseas.
Vashti hadn’t specifically asked but Trixie never got tired of talking about how proud she was of her own children. “Tabitha has been dabbling in the acting industry. The camera seems to love her!” Although she’d strongly dissuade her from the modelling industry despite how beautiful she was after what had happened to her cousin Felix. “Ruby might have been a daddy’s girl but she is now a Mediwitch.” An honour in which Trixie was extremely proud. “The boys are now potioneers, they have their own company.” There was no way that Daniel and Isaac wouldn’t be going into business with one another, they were truly each others equal in every way. Trixie was relieved that they had mended their relationship with their father and had calmed down a lot from their youth. It was also understandable that the twins would only work for themselves and not for other people. They did not do well with instruction unless it was from their big sister Tabby who seemed to have an influence over them. “And Holly still lives at home with us but she works with the Winged Horses on the sanctuary.” That was understandable too. Holly was adopted and had a rough upbringing, she was extremely close to her parents and as the youngest had yet to move away from them. Trixie and Freddie didn’t mind at all, the house felt empty without at least one child still there.
Now alongside the reunion with such a dear friend, the other reason they had chosen to come to the Leaky Cauldron was because of the wonderful comforting food and quite frankly the former Head Girl was starving. “Shall we order something?” she asked.
