Out of all of the places in the palace, the music hall was perhaps his favourite. The library was a close second, only because it was quiet there and he could lose himself within the pages of the tomes that were housed there. Today, however, Mattéo needed to lose himself in a different medium: through music. When he opened the door of the room, he was quite pleased that it was unoccupied.

Instantly his eyes were drawn to the grand piano within the space, and soon the Ombrelune had made himself comfortable on the piano bench without bothering to collect any sheet music. A few rogue fingers pressed down on the keys at random, making such an obscure noise that would suggest he had never played piano properly in his life. But the boy could tell that, despite the clashing sound, the instrument was very much in tune.

After cracking his knuckles and rolling his neck, he sat there in momentary silence before he began tickling the ivories. Soon Beethoven's "Für Elise" filled the hall, though, to those who chose to listen and knew classical music well enough, it eventually begins to sound not like the original at all.
