~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Hunter could have smacked himself right there and then in that moment when he registered that he had left Zion some paces behind. It was his eagerness to see all the plants that had gotten him so eager and excited. He came right up beside Willow and turned to ensure that Z was with him but this was not the case. “Hang on a minute,’’ he told Willow distractedly. Hunter was concerned about Zion because he knew all too well how the cousin could be plagued by anxiety. “You doing okay, Z?” A whisper was added, “I’m sorry for leaving you behind.’’ He patted Z’s shoulder. “Focusing on the plants and their smells will help.” Did Zion need to grip his hand in order to help keep himself calm? Because Hunter was always a willing party.
Willow’s suggestion about breathing in the Flutterby Bushes’ scent really came in handy. Quick thinking had him nodding. He inhaled slowly and deeply before exhaling just as slowly. “You try it, Z. Those Bushes smell heavenly.” Also, this was a cue to Z to do some breathing to keep himself grounded. “Not really big on Honking Daffodils.’’ This comment was directed at Willow. “They’re so loud and… honky.” |
