Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna Oh goody, they were handling the spell without too much trouble. Had there been struggle, she would have gladly helped, but she hadn’t wanted to be too overshadowing. And voila…a fun, new spell they now knew. “Correct, Mr. Anders, “Celeste confirmed, taking note that while he had mentioned the two tails but only described one. Helpfully letting his fellow students contribute to the answer. “Essentially, yes, Ms. Marchand,” she said with a nod to the girl’s attention, no matter how tentative she was about her dust answer. “And partly. What we see is from both the curved path of the comet and because we’re seeing it along the curvature of the earth’s atmosphere.” It distorted the way they saw things all the time as if constantly reminding humans that the earth was round. “Exactly, Mr. Fox!” she remarked enthusiastically to encourage the younger boy. “Not entirely...and yours technically covered both tails,” she assured him before continuing on. “The tails are a product of the sun or whatever star the comet is orbiting around as it comes to the closest point of its orbit. The ions created by the ultraviolet light of the star and the dust a result of the heat of said so the star.”
And soon enough they had a perimeter of students with their icy ‘comets’ around the astronomy classroom. “Now as you may have guessed, I’d like you to start moving around the room, holding your comets out so the momentum can affect them.” Essentially representing the ultraviolet light that created the ion tail represented by the ribbons. “I’ll be the sun,” Professor Gert remarked, moving closer to Jude to start. Taking out her wand, she cast a hot arm charm to generate the warmth that would melt their comets and create the dust tail in the water droplets generated. (ooc: You're all so wonderful. Wrapping up by the end of the weekend.)
