Keigh paused in her munching of her Pasty to give a slight head tilt in the big bros direction. As much as she loved spending time with Jude, she didn't want to be taking him away from anything else that he needed to be doing. However.. if he was offering, that meant he had to have the day free already, right?
Times like this were great. She was going to really miss this.
True to his words, Jude shut up and brought his and Keigh’s banter to a satisfying close. Such banters were the types he would never tire of regardless if they were with little sis, big sis or the brother. “Nah,’’ the seventh year replied lazily. “I’m not getting into NEWT study mode for another week or so, there’s not too much homework to be done, I’ve already written to mom and dad. And Dav. So yes. I’m free all day.” HE wasn’t the one who had partners nearby that would need time with him. “It’s okay if you have to go for any reason though. I’ll just chill out in here by myself.” Jude was already reaching for another snack - a Cauldron Cake. There was plenty of food to keep him going… until he couldn’t go anymore. So yes, regardless if Keigh chose to stay or go after a while, he was going to be okay. |
