But.. yes, maybe she was still trying to bribe him into that pretend marriage she had been talking about..
Followed him? Ahem. No. Bry didn't follow him. She stuck to him like glue. This girl knew what she was doing and almost all of the time she had a hold of his hand. Poor Ary. Really he should exercise more with her and then he wouldn't get so winded all of them like this.
Grinning widely, the small blonde was already peering down into the bin. "Are we searching for paperclips?" Cause what else would they be looking for?
Ary was indeed strange. For one thing, he barely spoke. Even at that tender age he had already figured it was a waste of energy to exert himself over such a thing. Instead, he found it easier to communicate with actions, which rightfully spoke louder than words. And why would he need to be constantly chattering when Bry did it enough for the both of them? She had definitely told the entire world he was her boyiefweind.
Correction. Bryony was right at his side every step of the way. It took Ary a moment to realise this since he was huffing. The boy recovered soon enough to begin rifling through the bin. He nodded briskly when Bry asked him the question. What he found first was a hat though. A rather battered and holey hat. It was faded red to almost pink-ish. He didn’t know it but it was a French beret. Giggling, Ary stuck it rather precariously on Bry’s blond head. |
