Sophia turned and smiled at her friend Maisey. "Hi, Maisey!" she said. "Can you see anything?" She was starting to wonder if they'd even be able to see if something did swim by.
The first year returned her attention to the window and briefly shrieked in surprise. That was the squid!! And it was...waving at them?? Or was it just wiggling its tentacle as part of swimming? She didn't know, but she waved back anyhow. She put her face as close to the glass as she could, squishing her nose a little. "Look, the squid is doing flips!!" Could Maisey see that? |
