Sophia was bored. Homework was boring, and it wasn't a mealtime, and her nails had already been painted a pretty pattern of pink and green, and there was nothing else to do but stare into the Lake. Which is exactly what she was doing. Sitting on a few textbooks (so she'd be taller), she leaned her head on the window. Would the squid swim by? Or some merpeople? She sure hoped so. |
