In Septimus’ defense, he tried to follow Candela’s train of thought and could almost see some logic in the abstract, but he was watching her with an upraised eyebrow. “I suppose in some ways…” he mused with a nod. To each thoughts their own...as long as it wasn't too crazy sounding or dangerous. “Slavic…will all those breakdowns of language from across Russia.” Not something he had ever been familiar with himself as his family and language expertise were more Western European. “Certainly sounds fun.” Maybe not limited to just textiles but exploring the art of the world including them.
He watched as she spun in place, his curiosity getting the better of him as he wondered what her idea was. Drinks or a meal and her picking out a gift for him to celebrate his accomplishment. In some ways more casual than a full makeover at the shop, but others a touch more intimate, it all depended on which way the intern chose to focus. “I can commit to that,” Septimus finally agreed with a nod and a soft smile. “A light meal that is.” As he didn’t really drink and didn’t have much of a sweet tooth.
