Unfazed and unaware of any casual dismay her responses may have elicited, she simply offered the fox a hint of a smile as she retrieved her wand from her pocket and gave it a quick inspection for any residual dampness that may have been missed while using it as the handle of her enchanted umbrella.
"It's a necessary offering," she explained. It was, truly, a requirement on such a day like this. "A folly should I not offer." And she was quite keen to avoid being cursed again and still needed to take care of the source of all the scratching beneath her bed that kept her up some nights and left her things in a complete disarray the following morning.
Her wand in hand now, she reached forward and plucked the jar of worms back from him without another word and then set it in one of the flower pots near the wall. Pushing the jar down just a bit into the soil within the pot to provide them with a bit of added insulation away from the coldness of the glass and then turned back to the younger blonde.
