Calling an under classman made him feel mature. No, it absolutely was not contradictory to how he had hated being called that as a first year and no he would not be taking any questions at this time. He would argue that 'hey kid' was at least a notch above 'hey you'...possibly.

The younger Hufflepuff was receiving another smile regardless...and not came the obligation to remember his name since the kid had remembered his own. Calling him 'Fox' could be a back up - he used to be called just by his last name by others. It was all good.
Settling in to his seat and once again offering the professor an eager smile (he was trying to reign it in and not grin, Atlas found himself less interested in sharing an earnest response. His favorites were sort of his favorites for a reason and anything that held real sentimental value (his shared cloak of invisibility with Remy, all his metal companions, Toby, his Pluto plushie, and his metallic matchsticks immediately came to mind) were those he wished to keep close to his chest and not expose for others. So, vague it was and something that anyone who did any research on him (ironically unironically in the muggle world as well) would be able to find this information since he had won numerous robotic titles. "LEGOs and especially some of the LEGO robotics kits I got for Christmas and my birthday pre Hogwarts era. One of my favorites was this vintage one from 2017 called BOOST Creative Toolbox. Practically disappeared in my room for a month after getting that one."
It was also the kit that set the foundation for his first robotics win so...it was truly out of this world.
