In the silents moments that followed, Nora had somehow managed to return to her senses. Nobody else had seemed the least bit phased by the animal-to-human transformation, so that in itself calmed her nerves. This part of the magical world was going to take a lot of getting used to, but just like every thing else she'd encountered, she'd get through it.

"Well, that good. At least other people know what to expect," she remarked. Being a bunny rabbit one second and a dragon the next would terrifying, she imagined. As she talked, she wandered over to the snack table, assuming Max would follow. Maybe some of the treats would get her mind off what she'd just experienced. "I wonder what else she has planned?"
