The grounds outside were huge, the school itself was huge and everything inside of it surpassed everything he had envisioned inside his own head. There weren't really words to describe it all.
One thing he could describe was how he was feeling in this very moment. Overwhelmed and more than a little lost. Zi had no clue where he was meant to go next, what he was meant to do but he kinda wanted to see and do everything! How could he not, in a place like this?!
Having already lost sight of his brother Zach ages ago, it looked like he was officially on his own. So it was with very unsure steps that he let himself walk around, trying to familiarize himself with things. How he ended up where he did, he had no idea. Not that it mattered much when his blue eyes that always seemed to stand out against his slightly darker skin and very dark hair, fell upon a face he knew well. His cousin that was also a first year this term. "Hunter.." he called out to let the other boy know of his presence without shouting or running towards him. Hunter’s feet came to a halt immediately after he stumbled upon his first sub-adventure {exploring the Conservatory being the main one}. Plants! Plants, plants, plants! There were an abundance of them! Hunter was in awe. He liked plants even though his papa did not; his mama seemed to like them well enough. Now came another dilemma: to check out all the greenery or to continue the exploration of the Conservatory?
Um…
Hunter hadn’t weighed all of the pros of the two options long enough before he heard his name being called. The little guy turned to see his cousin - one of his many - and immediately his face broke into a smile. Hunter waved to Zion then beckoned him over. Maybe Z would help him make up his mind. |
