HISTORY
Calloway and Elsa Bennigan were born on March 1st, 2084 in New York City. The children enjoyed a lavish upbringing thanks to the many lucrative "deals" their father, Ryan Bennigan made selling dark magic items under the table to various dealers. He worked a number of odd jobs (i.e. illegal) for most of their childhood, so the twins never wanted for anything.

A year after they went away to Ilvermorny, their mother suddenly became very ill and passed away while the twins were at school. It was a hard loss for Cal and is not something he ever talks about, even with his closest friends. Determined to start a new life for them, Ryan moved them to Tokyo, Japan, where the twins spent a year and a half attending Mahoutokoro. This was obviously a huge change for them, and the main reason behind the move was due to a job Ryan was working to get them set up with years worth of comfortable savings. Cal and Elsa never did find their footing at the school, and soon after the move Ryan found another job as a cursebreaker in the UK. Determined to make a (sort of) honest living, he moved them to England, where they have resided ever since in a small but cozy house along the coast. The twins were enrolled at Hogwarts and both sorted into Slytherin. Despite not being a model student, Cal did excellent on his exams and was accepted into WU London following graduation. He mostly just picked the school because it was close to home and close to Elsa, who went to WADA, and he had no idea WHAT he wanted to study as he left for university that fall. He took a number of "general education" courses, focusing a TINY bit on charms, but never really knew what degree he wanted to pursue.

After about two years, Cal decided to drop out of university, realizing that it wasn't for him and decided to just enter the workforce. He felt like he was wasting his time and wanted to get straight to working rather than paying for a school he wasn't even sure would help him in the long run. Still unsure what he wanted to do, he decided to apply for various entry level positions and was accepted to the Accidents and Catastrophes department. Turns out, he REALLY likes working with memory charms! Although why they trust HIM with someone's memories is beyond him. He likes knowing what he needs to do each day, and he does it with pride.

Elsa and Cal lived together following the birth of Elsa's son, whom she named Ryan. Poor Ryan never got to know his father, Caleb Newell, who tragically passed away at the Battle of Hogwarts in June of 2104 before he was born. Cal allowed his sister to live with him, obviously upset for her that her boyfriend was no longer around to help care for his child.

However, he quickly lost his temper on Elsa after about a year, when it became clear that she had no intentions of trying to change her partying lifestyle and was content to use him as a free babysitter. He left their flat in the middle of the night, taking all his things with him, and hasn't spoken to her since. He still sees his nephew when he visits his father, however, intent on keeping himself present in the boy's life, but he refuses to extend an olive branch to his twin until she admits to her wrongdoings.

PERSONALITY
Calloway is a fiercely loyal friend but the biggest downfall of his is his sharp tongue. He isn't one to hit below the belt so to speak when arguing with people, and often speaks before he thinks. It has gotten him in trouble more than he can count. He prefers to keep his circle of friends small, which makes him the opposite of his twin in that regard. She LOVES to talk to people, which he finds exhausting.

It should come as no surprise to anyone that Cal has a bit of a temper. A LOT of a temper, actually. He's trying to work on this not really, but he says he is.

As far as his outside interests go, Cal likes to keep to himself. He plays guitar and enjoys reading. He sort of keeps up with Quidditch, but not enough to have a favorite team or anything like that. He used to be an avid swimmer growing up, something he has gotten back into recently just for fun and to switch up his exercise routine.

FUN TIDBITS
-Got straight O's on all his OWLs despite not studying nearly enough. Did not perform as impressively on his NEWTs but still did very well. Apparently he's just a good test taker?
-One time Eiji Rasting punched him in the face. It was NOT awesome.
-Knew SOME Japanese at one point when they went to school there, but has since forgotten it
-On that note, has developed a weird American - English hybrid accent having lived in the UK since he was 13. He hates it and is very self conscious about it so don't bring it up.
-Took two courses on wizarding law at school JUST in case he needs it to ever help his dad out of a tight spot...
-His name literally means "pebbly place" because his parents just liked the name and knew nothing about the origin of it or meaning behind it. As for his twin, Elsa is only named Elsa because of the Disney princess. There was not a lot of thought behind naming their children, apparently.
