A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
He wasn't surprised Lisa had figured it out. Daniel wondered if V had already spoken to her or if someone else on the train had discovered them while passing by their compartment. "News sure travels faster than lightning here," he muttered before letting out a sigh. "But...yes," referring to a certain Slytherin. "Well, I..." Yumeki was clearly struggling to get out from under the desk, and the right thing to do was to get up and assist him. But this was the perfect opportunity to tell Lisa, and his own problem was clearly more pressing right now.
To be sure, he did lower his voice a little. "I know she hugged me... but I'm not sure why she would do that?" And why he had been thinking about that hug, or why he thought she had smelled nice? or that he was remembering her warmth for those few seconds. It was all so perplexing, and none of his books were assisting him. They were all expecting you to 'know' what this meant. "I mean, isn't it more common to thank someone by shaking their hand or nodding?"
Ah, yes, the Great Hall love potion fiasco. He remembered not warning Lisa about what was in the drink at the time, and now that he was older, he started to feel a little guilty about using her symptoms as a study. "I should have given you a warning about that love potion..." he muttered as Yumeki's voice was heard.
Daniel snorted before turning to face the Gryffindor. "Why would you want to sleep in such an unclean room?" he wondered aloud. " Besides, it's " he rolled up his sleeve to check his watch for the time. "It's 5:20 pm why are you even sleeping at this hour?"
While he was busy retrieving the wax feathers from his bag, Daniel looked up to see Yumeki nearing them and took one of the candles from his grasp.
Was he trying to imply that it was stupid or that he liked the design when he said 'interesting shape'? Daniel wasn't sure, but he did frown. "Yes, I wanted to make something other than the typical candle..." He said almost defensively,
The Gryffindor was correct that the wax feather was more difficult to levitate, but this only seemed to stir up the Hufflepuff's desire to try. "If we don't try, we'll never know," he said as he got up. " Besides, I need to get rid of those. You touch it, you keep it" he motioned to the wax feather in Yumeki's hand.
