Non-verbals or wandless magic. She wanted to accomplish one or the other this year. Even though she didn’t have to worry about exams, she still had a desire to improve her wandwork. She had been itching to come back to school to practice magic and sort some… feelings things out.

Today, she opted on ignoring the feelings. She had placed her bag, filled with snacks in the corner, as she held her wand and tried Lumos. She spoke it aloud and then thought it- no, spoke it in her mind.

After fifteen minutes of practicing, she decided to take a break and slumped against the wall with her journal clutched in her chest. Lisa felt helpless. She hadn’t felt this way towards magic… like EVER.
