But being in the office often proved to be boring and he was just not the type for paperwork, even if it meant he was home for his family more often.
And he had to make time for some necessary paperwork today, paperwork that he had been putting off till pretty much the last minute. As he was recording the inventory of artifacts and their subsequent counter-curses from his last excursion, Levi paused to look out the window near his desk. A bright, sunny day. A rare perfect summer day, or at least it looked like it from his office window. Perhaps he could message Etta later about bringing Gwen out to meet him after work so they could all get some ice cream. Septimus hadn’t quite known what to expect when he applied for the internship at Gringotts. Granted it wasn’t the more exciting travel and field work that his father could tell about from his younger cursebreaker days. The travel he had decided to pick up again every once and a while now as he found himself a widower with his son more than old enough to be on his own. But it still was a path that Septimus had found he wasn’t bad in. Who knew what the future would hold.
On a particularly slow day for his internship tasks, he was looking around the office for something to do spotting one of the full cursebreakers. “Need any assistance,” Septimus offered. Even if it seemed to be paperwork and nothing but the paperwork at first glance. Anything would be better than nothing and maybe he’d learn something new. After all that was one of the main purposed of the internship in the first place.
