Evan was past his days of giving up on people. Especially not people who didn't give up on him first. He had noticed Ash was running late, but he was unbothered for the time being. Eventually it would reach a point of concern, but not of anger. And thankfully, she'd arrived before the extra concern had even had a chance to begin.
Smiling and giving a wave when he spotted her heading his direction, he pushed aside the book he'd retrieved from his bag and let his eyes scan for a moment to make sure she was in one piece. So far, so good. Her polite request had him giving a small chuckle, before he stood from his seat and enfolded her in a hug, giving the smallest squeeze. "Anytime you want one." She was one of the few that he didn't mind. "It's good to see you. I like the purple." It was cheery, even if maybe she wasn't. Though he couldn't tell yet.
