He still had yet to adjust to the fact that come the end of summer, there was no boarding the Hogwarts Express with the rest of his peers and head back to school. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but it meant that he was trying extra hard to be intentional about spending time this summer with the people who mattered to him before they were all on their separate ways. Whether that be someone staying here for uni or otherwise while he left or going back to school like his sisters or Jude.
Today the itinerary was to spend some quality time with Ashley. He'd happened by a newsstand, and while he generally tried to ignore those lest Witch Weekly have something outrageous to say about his cousin, a muggle piece had caught his attention with the Fox name on it. He didn't pick it up to look any further, figuring if it was truth and something he needed to know - his friend would tell him in her own time. But the glance alone still left him more concerned about the girl he was generally concerned about to begin with.
So... lunch. Outside, where there were no accidental mirrors.
Finding a decent table, Evan sat himself down and leaned back in the chair, taking a look around while waiting for his friend to arrive.
