The Ravenclaw stood by and waited while Jude began the layering, before reaching for a spoon in order to put a generous layer of potatoes on top of the meat mixture before stepping back to let Jude take over again. "My stomach is definitely excited that we are near the end of finishing this up." As if on cue, it gave a large rumble which he attempted to calm by reaching for his glass of water to take a large gulp.
Jude simply nodded. Even if Evan didn’t get to send pictures often, then a scrapbook would be perfect for showing all the memories when Evan returned and whenever he felt like reconnecting with Jude. He was only being dramatic. The dish was stuck in the preheated oven and the door was shut. “No snacking in the meanwhile, Ev. Water’s fine but you’re saving your appetite.” There was a bit of playful finger wagging on his part before the most annoying part of cooking began - cleaning up. |
