Honestly, Alfred was absolutely glad he didn't touch the plant now. Even dinky little cacti like that could hurt if you touched them. Er, wait. That wasn't what it was? It sure looked like a cactus. Were they sure it was this 'mumble mumbletonia' plant thing?
Move closer? Um, no thanks. He wasn't afraid of the thing or anything, but he'd heard what that seventh year over there had said about stinksap and now he was both avoiding the plant because of it and figuring how he could use it in a prank. He also knew nothing about the plant, so he was taking notes off of what his classmates were saying about it.
