She wanted to be able to do the charm nonverbally, but she would try it verbally first. As Ash quickly found a partner to practice with, she looked around, trying to make eye contact with whomever she could.
Partners, anyone?
Daniel made a conscious effort not to roll his eyes in front of the professor. He didn't want to lose House points after putting in so much effort. But her response had been predictably unhelpful.
However, he was the one who had asked the question, and he now recognized that it had been a dumb one. He sighed tiredly and nodded, acknowledging her response without saying anything.
He perked up when the professor mentioned that they could use nonverbal spells, but then he remembered that he hadn't been taught how to do it, so he slumped back in his chair a little. He was too tired to even feel annoyed today.
Looking around for a partner, Daniel's dark brown eyes looked over at Margaret who seemed to be looking for a partner as well, before he stood up from his seat and walked towards her. With the exception of the little study group he was in, everyone knew he preferred to work alone. But this charm could not be used alone. And he was not about to wave a wand at himself. He wasn't Atlas Flamsteed.
"Do you want to partner up with me?" he questioned.
