~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. There had been no offense taken on his part. Secretly, he doubted she would ever offend him; Advika was too nice to do such a thing, especially on purpose. “I don’t see it that way. I don’t see it as weird, I mean. Just… unusual. But unusual in a good way since it comes as a surprise to anyone who asks.” Suresh loved that she had surprised him, actually. There was definitely a different glow to her when she spoke with such passion; it made her love for the topic very obvious. “I like your perspective on that. There’s much to learn about history because of the way the world has evolved.” Not just humans. “There’s just one problem though: there’s so much to discover and so little time.” Suresh tried not to stare at Advika so he kept letting his gaze wander at random stuff - the bus depositing passengers at a stop, some cyclists. “It sounds as though you had a happy childhood. Productive too. It’s nice that you realised early what you enjoyed and what you wanted to study.” It wasn’t wrong if anyone realised these late in life but doing so early gave one more time to spend on whatever they liked. “I’ve always been good with numbers. Maths, Arithmancy… at Beauxbatons, I was particularly interested in Ancient Studies, Defensive Magic and Defensive Magic. I think it was somewhere in my third year that it clicked I wanted to major in Rune Study at university since I was reading everything I could find on Cursebreaking. A few years later, I figured I wanted to minor in Arithmancy. That’s it,” Sur answered with a smile. “Nothing special to it all.”
Suresh chuckled. “Have you ever seen that meme on the internet that says ‘A large group of people is called a ‘no thanks’?” And now he would always associate Advika with that meme. The young man simply smiled. Indeed he had thought well about which they would be perfect for the visit. Suresh really was trying hard to show Advika he was at least an okay guy. He led the way to the museum and the automatic doors slid open as they approached. “Shall we go locate those embalming tools first or would you prefer to start with the exhibits as we come across them?” |
