Daniel looked awful. His skin was dull, he had dark circles under his eyes, and he hadn't even bothered to style his hair today. He was both mentally and physically stressed from studying for his OWL exams, so when the trip to Hogsmeade was announced, the Hufflepuff decided to go alone and enjoy the village.

He'd been wandering around for a while, going in and out of shops until he decided to warm up in the Three Broomsticks with a glass of butterbeer and something to eat. The fifth-year ordered at the bar and then walked over to an empty table and sat down.

Daniel leaned forward, his elbows on the table, taking a sip of his butterbeer before biting into the strawberry shortcake he had ordered. He was lost in thought as he ate, looking around at the crowd.
