Desiree was a girl on a mission! She made her way down the corridor as fast as she could without running, striding with a sense of purpose. She needed to get to the library before another wombat transformation happened! She’d just remembered a story her dad had told her about his time teaching here. He said there used to be three poltergeists at Hogwarts instead of just one. Somehow a portal containing a monster opened up in the school, and they sent two of them through it. She didn’t know all the details, so she was hoping a trip to the library would answer some of her burning questions. Specifically, was there a way to open that portal back up? And could they send Peeves through it this time?
Speak of the devil poltergeist… She heard the noise pollution that was Peeves’s cackling as she turned a corner. Ordinarily that would’ve been her cue to head in the opposite direction, but now she wanted payback. No one made a monster of Desiree Yvette Marchand and got away with it!
What’s so funny, Peeves? Thought of a new way to ruin someone’s life? She thought but stopped short of saying the words out loud when she saw another girl (Aria) in the corridor. There was nothing else he could do to her that was worse than turning her into an ugly animal, but she wouldn’t endanger someone else by antagonizing him. Instead, she approached quietly and whispered, “Did he do anything to you?” If he did, he had exactly three seconds to stop cackling and undo it before her wand came out!
