The activity started off great. Students were up on their brooms, paintballs were going wild. Not that wild, but enough to give them a little challenge. Kennedy could already note a few students using the tools he’s taught them this year so far. They were weaving, diving, dodging--all great techniques.

Sharp green eyes, solemn yet alert, kept a tab on the students. He sure hoped Maxine wouldn’t have her eyes closed while flying like she had mentioned. She didn’t. That was a relief. Rajesh and Luther were doing great, the latter having too much fun. It amused Kennedy. He sure hoped Luther would keep that fiery attitude as he grew. Jude was fascinating, using the techniques he had worked and perfected throughout the term.

His attention was quickly drawn towards a call for help. It was as if his ears were made for it. Almost at once, Kennedy was about to rush towards Maria, but that was his former Auror self reacting. This was a class where the students were safe. If they fell the worse they could get was a bruise. If he was always rushing to their side at the first yelp he’d be clipping their wings and denying them an opportunity to learn and grow.

He did, however, care about their well being. Leaning forward on his broom, he approached Maria and Ashley, who had admirably helped out her classmate. “Are you alright, Miss Dolph?” he asked. Several paintballs bounced towards them, but Kennedy simply sent them away wandlessly. “You are welcome to take a breather if need be.” He didn’t mind, and she seemed startled. This activity was about learning how to center their mind, after all. He looked over to Ashley. “You did great. I appreciate you looking after your classmate.” It wasn’t often that you saw that with teenagers.

Kennedy gave the girls a nod and returned to his post, still keeping an eye on them. “You’re all doing great,” he said encouragingly. “Remember to be aware of your classmates around you. No crashing onto others!” He’d sit anyone who was putting their classmates’ safety at risk. Zero tolerance for that. So far, the only chaos here were the paintballs.

Speaking of…were the paintballs multiplying? Huh.

OOC: It's so much fun reading how your characters are handling this activity. You all still have tomorrow for this activity! You rock! <3
