~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Suresh had hardly dared to believe it when Advika finally agreed to go out with him. Oh sure, he had indeed spent a great deal of time trying to convince her but he always had been shot down. Rather than being disappointed, he had taken each of those times and turned it into a motivational one. Who says a determined nature didn’t pay off? Sur knew Advika would not be able to resist the offer to visit a museum at least, and the idea had struck him in a moment of sheer shrewdness. Afterwards it crossed his mind that she may have only accepted the offer for that reason but had pushed off that negative thought. In his book, it was a huge win!
The entire day seemed to have purposely dragged on and Suresh found himself restless and unable to concentrate in each of his classes. Thankfully he had great friends who would provide him with notes later on. The moment his final class finished, he sprinted up to his dorm to get ready for the big moment. His attire had been carefully thought of so it was easy for him to slip into it after freshening up: a pair of blue jeans, a crisp white tee shirt with his black blazer over it. He combed his hair neatly and spent a fair amount of time checking himself out in the mirror to ensure that there wasn’t a single piece of lint on his clothing.
Suresh decided that he looked great. “A complete catch,’’ he told his reflection. “She won’t be able to take her eyes off you!’’ Done dressing, the young man casually as possible made his way in the direction of Advika’s dorm. He knew he was rather early but it was bad manners to keep a lady waiting. That was why he was completely surprised to see her waiting on a bench for him. Still, a huge, warm smile formed as Sur headed for her. “Hi!” No, there was no need for him to mention their earliness. To him, it just meant that he’d have a lot more time to spend with her. “You look stunning. Not that you look any different on any other occasion. You look more so today.” And he was going to shut up now. |
