Ever wondered what the people in the chat are referring to when they make a comment about someone's character? Do you need a place to store your Hogwarts student(s) in one convenient place? Are you someone that just likes reading biographies? If you answered 'yes' to any of those questions, then this thread is for you! To see former student and staff characters, you may check the archived thread. For any corrections, feel free to let Charely Potter know.
Remember that all site rules apply as well as the following guidelines:
  • Only bios for the current Hogwarts characters that are listed in your postbit. They must also match the house(s) you're currently sorted in.
  • Non-current bios will be archived. If you're bringing back a former student into the SSRPG, please contact the above for retrieval.
  • For organizational purposes, please use one post per character.
  • The information in this thread is OOC knowledge; play accordingly IC.
  • All graphics must follow site graphics rules. Student Bio pics must be within the size limits of 350 x 350 or 450 x 200 along with 60kb in weight. Graphics that exceed the limit will automatically be removed.
  • Be sure to check that your student's age fits their school year. You can check the age calculation below:
SPOILER!!: Student Ages per School Year

Students are enrolled in the appropriate grade based on the student's age prior to the first day of attendance (September 1st) as with other wizarding institutions. A student must be 11 years of age before the start of their first-year school term. It is okay if the student is older than their peers since some start school late, have to repeat a year, etc. Students with their birth year too young will automatically have it raised up.

Below is the adjusted birthday range per school year and is updated accordingly to the upcoming school term 69:

Class of 2122 / First Years
January 1st - August 31st 2104 or September 1st - December 31st 2103
Class of 2121 / Second Years
January 1st - August 31st 2103 or September 1st - December 31st 2102
Class of 2120 / Third Years
January 1st - August 31st 2102 or September 1st - December 31st 2101
Class of 2119 / Fourth Years
January 1st - August 31st 2101 or September 1st - December 31st 2100
Class of 2118 / Fifth Years
January 1st - August 31st 2100 or September 1st - December 31st 2099
Class of 2117 / Sixth Years
January 1st - August 31st 2099 or September 1st - December 31st 2098
Class of 2116 / Seventh Years
January 1st - August 31st 2098 or September 1st - December 31st 2097

OOC: The Professor & Student Files Thread roster updates sometime after the school term ends. Graduated student bios typically will be archived by December, April, and August 20th. This puts it 2 weeks into the IC summer break allowing new student entries to accurately fit the appropriate birthdays per school term. If the roster is updated ahead of the 20th, it's to prevent miscalculated birth years.
