She sat cross-legged on the ground of the courtyard, picking at the dirt underneath her fingernails, and occasionally stroking Binx. Sometimes all you needed was a cat and a hobby to get through the hardships of life, ammiright? Had Yumeki been in the Courtyard before or after Remy showed up and sat down on the courtyard ground? It was usually impossible to tell. Yumeki always just seemed to be anywhere whenever anyone looked, which no one usually ever did. And if he was being sought out he was either sleeping or practicing some sort of Kendo routine.
What was most intriguing in this scenario was that Yumeki was not doing either. He was sitting straight up on a bench in the courtyard and writing down something in a journal. His calligraphy looked like awful chicken scratch, but there was no need for anyone like his great-grandmother to look over his shoulder making sure each stroke of the quill was perfect.
His tired eyes glanced up and saw Remy sit down with her cat. He had seen that cat around the common room, but never approached it. Yumeki liked cats, more so than dogs. Dogs, he did NOT like. He shut his journal and looked toward Remy. "I like your cat." He spoke up, to draw attention toward himself. |
