Peggy Laplace had decided she no longer liked themed events. Today, an underwater gala. What was next, a fundraiser at a zoo? She would (possibly literally) die.

The one redeeming factor of the evening was that Atlantis was beautiful, and the magic involved in pulling tonight off was rather impressive. They were, after all, very deep under the ocean. Breathing air and walking around. And, yes, having conversations with merfolk. Without having to know mermish.

Very well. That was more than one redeeming quality for the event. Maybe themed events were not that terrible after all. Maybe she could reconsider.

Regardless, she smiled broadly at anyone she encountered, wizards and merpeople alike. She was going to try to enjoy herself, and keep an eye out for her employees, while she was at it. Maybe she'd even try one of whatever that was the Minister had in his hand...later.
