In all his time at Hogwarts, Ezra had never actually been to Hogsmeade, at least during the Hogsmeade weekends. The few times he had passed through the the station did not count, especially given that he never really remembered them.

So he'd missed out, as he had missed out on so many other things, but the situation had been slowly improving the last year or so, in a distinctly non-linear fashion, and due to no small amount of determination (read: stubbornness). But with the end of his time at school coming up, Ezra's sights fixed firmly on university, but his comfort zone still restrictingly small, he kept pushing even on the days he really didn't want to. Or. Well. Most of the days he really didn't want to. At least half. Just.

Today, he was completing an assignment: go to Hogsmeade at the next opportunity, and purchase something, no matter how large or small. Ezra hadn't shared his plans. As far as anyone else was concerned, he was staying in the castle as usual. This way there would be no pressure, nobody standing at his shoulder and watching with bated breath, and if he failed, only he and his therapist would need to know.

Thus, he entered Gladrags with single-minded determination, his heart beating wildly in his chest and eyes fixed on the sock display as soon as he located it. He marched that way, grabbed at the first pair he saw (patterned in green and blue argyle, for feet far smaller than his own), and turned to charge at the counter. Except then he actually noticed Sadie ... right there ... and gave a sudden start as though he'd been caught in the act of outright theft.

... "Oh."
