And she could poke all she wanted, he'd never mind.
Annnnnnnnnd there was that smile again. So that she wasn't alone, Jas mirrored her expression, pushing off of the wall to stand without the extra support. "I took the scenic route today," he shrugged, still grinning.
Very few things stood in the way of Jasper Botros and a good meal. Flying just so happened to be one of those things. Good hygiene was another.
"Who's Fabio?"
Serena needed to step up her game. Her smiles were becoming predictable and she couldn’t have that. Besides it amused her that Jasper didn’t take her scowls or eye-rolling personally. He had thick skin and could handle her intensity. For how long? Guess she’ll find out.
When he shifted his position, Serena dropped her arms and adjusted the strap of her bag over her shoulder.
“Ohhh? What’s the most interesting thing you saw?” Scenic route her bum. Still, she played along with it.
For a moment Serena forgot about her mention of Fabio.
“I was joking,” she said, her foot reaching out to tap the point of her shoe to his. Boop. Forget about Fabio, though. “
I have two questions for you if you have time.” See. She wasn’t mean all of the time. She was kind enough to respect his dinner time.
