~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Feeling the brush of Keigh’s arm on his, Jude spared her a curious glance. Naturally, it was then that he noticed she had moved closer to him. He gave her a quizzical look, wondering what was up. Since it was not the time for this discussion, he decided it would have to wait until later.
While he continued on the stretches and whatnot, the Hufflepuff paid close attention to the questions and the answers. He took precious care to maintain his focus and to tuck the information away for future use.
It came as no surprise to him that the Animagus process was such a complicated one. He had even known some of the steps already, this included the Mandrake leaf in one’s mouth. The silver spoon of dew, the chrysalis and one’s own hair were what he recently learned while reading for OWLs. Still, learning that bit hadn’t phased him when once upon a time it would have left him in awe. Imagine having to wait forever for an electrical storm though. Gosh. The most dejecting part was having to start all over again. Yeah… no. The Animagus process was not worth it in his opinion. Thank Merlin Jude hadn’t any ambition to become one.
The boy dragged his left hand through his hair to brush back the strands before reaching over to Keigh and linking his arm through hers. “To the starting line then?” he asked her quietly. “Unless you have any questions?” |
