Celyn supposed she could have sent her letters by school owl, but her reasons for sending them through the Hogsmeade post office were multifold. For one, she had three letters and she thought it might be selfish of her to tie up three of the school owls with her business, rather than use one at a time. What if someone needed to use an owl but she happened to have used the remaining ones in the owlery and they had to wait? And she didn't think it would be right to give them all to one owl since they were going to different places and it would be a lot of work for one animal. Plus, time was of the essence and she wanted them delivered as quickly as possible.
And since she was already going to be at Hogsmeade, Celyn figured that she could visit the Post Office first and get her letters sent on their way. Once she was inside, she paused in the doorway just briefly before heading to the shelves of owls to decide who to choose.
