Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent Was it just her or was there a weird vibe in this class? Maybe it was just her. But Celyn couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Maybe she was just having an off day. Feeling scattered for the hundredth time this week, the seventh year tried to focus on today's Charms topic.
She was fairly familiar with at least a few healing charms. They were necessary when working with rescue creatures as she often helped out at her brother's sanctuary. But she was careful to use only the ones she knew well as she was not a proper healer, for example the bandaging charm. She did not feel necessary to practice that one in class today as she thought she was adept at that one, but the wound healing charm held a little more appeal.
It was a little weird just using her finger in place of her wand, but she understood the reason why. Her forearm was the easiest place to pretend she had a wound and the seventh year traced a line over her arm as she repeatedly whispered, "VUL-ner-ah sah-NEN-tour."
Celyn was in the middle of that practice when the professor stopped at her desk and gave her a baby doll. "Oh thank you, Professor," she replied with a smile as she took the doll from her and assessed it. She reminded her of Bria, or what Bria probably looked like shortly after she was born. She missed so many of those months when they had no contact with the outside world and she had gotten so big when she finally did meet her. And now she was getting sad... but the doll was crying now and it helped bring Celyn back to the present and focus a little better.
She gently bounced the baby in her arms as she looked her over. Celyn didn't see anything immediately that looked like a wound, so maybe... broken bone? They weren't always as visible. She gently ran her fingers over the doll's limbs, soon finding one of the arms was not at a natural angle. So, broken arm then.
