Ashley!
Violet had stocked up on writing supplies and chocolate and by now was ready to venture somewhere in the village that she'd never been to before. The Hog's Head looked somewhat seedy from the outside, but an writer couldn't avoid the nitty-gritty of life, after all--look at all the material she'd gotten that year with her father in New York, dodging in and out of hotels, both posh and shabby. Besides, she was an adult now, by both Wizard and Muggle standards. So, throwing back her shoulders and raising her chin, she pushed open the door and went inside.
Ugh! The place was filthy! And dark, too. Peering around, Violet tried to see if there was anyone else there. She debated over whether or not it was really safe to eat there, but, patting the potion remedy for food poisoning that she carried in an inside pocket, she decided to risk it. So she stepped up to the counter and ordered a lamb chop, boiled potatoes, and cabbage salad, with a Butterbeer on the side. Then she went to sit down in a booth, taking the precaution of wiping off the seat and table with a handkerchief before taking her seat.
