 Which came first, the phoenix or the flame?
Ash thought tests were dumb. She was very good at them. That didn't mean they weren't dumb. But she did acknowledge that they gave you opportunities later. Father had taught her to take opportunities. Even annoying ones.
While she mostly liked to study on her own, it was nice to trade study habits with others and get help from a teacher. A good teacher. She quietly entered the library and sat down next to the professor. That way she could ask a lot of questions without other people hearing them. What is your favorite potion and Can I apply for extra time and What is your opinion on standardized testing and Would there be stuff on the test they had to study outside of the curriculum and Should I start reading ahead if I know my current material.
Ash had a lot of questions. She didn't voice them quite yet though. She just nodded quietly at the people already there. Evan(her bestie!) and Jude(she didn't know him very well but he seemed alright). |
