Because she needed to be inspired in order to create a new outfit. Something eye-catching, something chic.
Aria sat at one of the tables with a foot tucked under her as she carefully thumbed through a Muggle fashion magazine. Half a dozen others were there before her waiting to be picked up and perused. Muggles should be applauded for their usually creative tastes and ideas in clothing and jewelry. With her free hand, she toyed with the butterfly pendant from her thin gold chain resting against the base of her throat.
She was lost in thought and completely focused on a particular blouse modeled by a rather skinny woman. “Hmm. Not a bad design…” Aria particularly liked the tiny beads on the sleeves. She could see herself wearing that; she could also visualise women and young girls with any amount of size greater than the model in the magazine wearing it. You know what Apollo liked most about watching the birds in the aviary? They all FLEW. It almost gave him the same exhilaration that he had when watching a quidditch match, all the players each looking like augereys or something as they flew around the pitch trying to score and catch the snitch.
You know what he didn't like about the aviary? When there were other people there to mess with his imagination of these birds as quidditch players. He recognized this girl though. Related to his dormmate and all, he was pretty sure. "Sorry, I'm not ... interrupting you, am i?" He asked nervously, noticing she wasn't looking at the birds but instead at a magazine??? "Um.....uh... you come here to read magazines?" Who was he to judge though? He came to the aviary to imagine the birds playing quidditch.
